June 11th, 2004

Although the wings battled back from three different deficits, they still came up a run short in the bottom of the eleventh inning. The wings clawed back to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th inning with a single run. Alfred scored in the top of the tenth, and the Wings responded with one of their own in the bottomm of the tenth. The big hit came in the top of the eleventh inning when the Alfred first baseman hit his second home run of the game, this time a two run two out laser which created a loud ball on metal sound as it pounded of the right field scoreboard. The home run gave Alfred a 7-5 lead going into the bottom of the eleventh, but the wings weren't quite done. After scoring one run on a sac fly to left field, the Wings left the tying run on second base.

The team showed alot of heart battling back from deficits three times in three innnigs, but the loss dropped their record to 3-4. The Wings face Wayne County tonight at 7:00. The team is also home Sunday vs. Division leading Hornell at 3:00. Come on out and support your team!
