Wings come up short against division leading River Bats ...July 15th , 2006
...The Wings again came up a bit short last night, falling 6-3 to the division leading River Bats. The 'Bats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the the third inning, a lead they would never relinquish. Nick Stewart (Francis Marion) continued his hot hitting, he went 2-4 with a monster solo homerun in the bottom of the third and a big two out, 2 RBI double in the bottom of the eighth. Nick accounted for all three Wings RBI's.
...The Wings host Amsterdam for a doubleheader today, first pitch is at 5:00. The Wings also host Litte Falls Sunday morning at 11:00, this game is a continuation of the suspended game the two teams played in Little Falls on July 2nd. The game resumes in the fifth with the Wings leading 2-0.
...If you are the mother of a Red Wing, the Red Wing Mothers "club" will be going on a wine tasing tour before the games today, contact your son for more information (Mrs. VanDenBout is the organizer of this outing).
