Playoffs hopes over, playing for pride...July 26th, 2006

...The Wings battled all season long but with three games remaining they have came up a bit short. The 3-1 loss last evening to Watertown ended the boys playoffs hopes. The team fought injury throughout the season and at one point were down to one available bench player, but they continued to battle to the last out every game. According to Coach Herbst "This is the hardest working team I have had in my time in Geneva, we just had some tough breaks". The team is excited to finish the last three games up at home, and have enjoyed playing for our fans. We hope to the stadium will be packed these last few games, and the team will show its appreciation for our fans by playing hard and putting on a great show! Games this week include Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

...The Tuesday game report will be posted once game details are released.

...Tonight is State Senator Nozzolio night at the park, always a great night, and always a full house, get there early, first pitch is vs. Rochester is at 7:30.
