2008 GRW Greenlatt holds World Champion Sox scoreless...Post date March 3rd, 2008
Aaron Greenblatt (Northeastern University) has been on the Geneva roster for the past two seasons. In 2006 his season was shortened when he tore a tendon in his pitching hand while warming in the Geneva 'pen. In 2007 he never made it to Geneva as he tore a ligament in his knee, which required surgery. This year he's all healed and he's on the GRW roster again. On Friday his Husky's met the World Champion Red Sox in Notheastern's annual exhibition game against Boston in Ft. Myers, FL. Greenblatt was called on with two on and two outs in the fourth inning. After walking his first batter which loaded the bases, he was able to get the last out and get the Husky's out of the inning. Despite the fact that the Husky's lost 15-0, Aaron was the bright spot for the Husky's pitching staff, as he was the only pitcher to not give up an earned run. Aaron also received a brief "bright spot" moment on the Red Sox webpage, which can be found here.
