Jeremy Khert (GRW '06-'07) drafted by the Boston Red Sox...Posted June 7th, 2008

Jeremy Khert (University of Southern Indiana), a starting pitcher for the '06 and '07 Geneva Red Wings, was drafted by the Boston Red Sox as the 1423rd overall pick in the 47th round Friday evening. Khert pitched two seaons with the Wings. In 2006 Jeremy was 4-2 witha 1.77 ERA, and was a NYCBL All-Statr. In 2007 Khert started off where he left off before an elbow injury sent him back to Indiana after just 2 starts.

As a Senior at the University of Southern Indiana, Jeremy helped anchor the Screaming Eagles staff with an 8-3 record and a 4.31 ERA while holding opposing batters to a .231 batting average against him.
