Three and counting as Wings bury Nitros...Posted June 21nd, 2008

The Wings kept the streak alive last night, and we are not talking about the three game winning streak, we are talking about the hitting streak. The Wings again posted double digits in the hit column for the third night in a row as the Wings beat up on the Nitro's in Scio 10-3. Dan Rouah (Lynn) pitched his best game of the season earning the win and going seven strong innnings scattering 4 hits while striking out a team and season high 11 batters. The hits also seem to be coming in bunches as Ryan Uphouse (George Mason) lead the battery with a 3-6 night, all of which were doubles and posted 3 RBI's. The three doubles set the pace for the night as the Wings would pound out eight doubles on the night! Bill Cupello (Holy Cross) and Doug Elliot (UConn) would add 3 hits a piece, and Will Harford would add 2, including 3 runs scored.

The Wings will take their hot play to Brockport today to face the Riverbats in a matinee at 1:00. The Wings will have a well deserved off day tomorrow and will return home on Tuesday night to host the Niagara Falls Power.
