Wings get four in before rains come, again!.... Posted July 20th, 2008
Travelling to Bolivar the Wings were hoping to get away from the rain, and actually play a game. The game started under blue skies but that quickly changed and by the fourth inning the game was delayed then soon after, suspended because of...RAIN! The Wings were able to put two on the board by the bottom of the fourth before being washed out and will take a 2-0 lead with them into the completion of the game. The completion is tentatively scheduled for an afternoon start on July 30th, as the Wings will be in the area to take on Allegany County in the evening that day. No start time has been determined. All schedule changes (and there are alot of them) can be found on the GRW schedule page.
The Wings are home tonight to host the Hornell Dodgers at 7:30 PM. Hopefully the rain that has been lingering will make an exit and we can get a whole game in this evening.
