Matt Perry's 27 game hit streak snapped... Posted July 28th, 2008

Matt Perry's (Holy Cross) league record 27 game hit streak was snapped last evening in the second game of the doubleheader against Brockport. Perry is currently leading the league in batting at .417 on the season and is also is tied for the league lead in total hits at 55. John Sills, also of Holy Cross, had a 21 game hitting streak of his own earlier in the season. At that time Sills' 21 game streak was a Red Wings record. Perry has since broken that short lived record and surpassed the league record. The Red Wing staff would like to congratulate Matt on reaching such a milestone!
